Tulip is a ceramic bowl reinterpreting a recurring ceramic and embroidered motif in the Tatar artwork of Crimea. The tulip is an emblem of unconditional love, and one that is culturally important to the designer, Anastasiia, who spent much of her childhood in this now annexed and unreachable region of her country. Tulip is wheel thrown and glazed with a custom ash glaze.
